iGuidance Upgrade & Update Policy
- 1. Existing-owner discount on future map upgrades.
- 2. Free "same version" updates: "Updates" include only minor changes to user interface, bug fixes, or patch files and are indicated by a 3rd digit number to the main version # such as v2.0.1 & v2.0.2 (both are updates of v2.0). Updates retain the same map data as the original version and do NOT include map upgrades. Customers are eligible for updates to the same version he/she purchased. If updates are not available as online download and actual replacement disks must be shipped, shipping/order processing fee in the amount of $10 will be applied.
Special exchange offer (available for retail vrn ONLY, not applicable to corp/gov VLP purchases):
If a newer map upgrade is released within 2-month period after your
iGuidance purchase from our online store or authorized resellers (based on invoice
date), you may qualify for a map upgrade exchange (ex. you purchased v3.0 on
5/30/07 and v4.0 is released on 7/1/07 which is within 2 months). In
general, you must claim your free exchange copy within 30 days of new
map upgrade release date. Updates you obtained for free or purchases
through secondary market and/or non-authorized resellers are not
eligible for this offer. iNav Corporation retains the right to request proof of purchase.
All requests for free updates/upgrades MUST be postmarked and/or ordered online during the offer period dates specified in the table below.
