iGuidance does not connect to my GPS receiver
- Check the GPS Info screen to confirm GPS satellite signal reception.
- If using a bluetooth receiver, make sure you have created device profile and enabled bluetooth connection properly on your Laptop, Pocket PC, Car PC, or UMPC (please follow the step-by-step bluetooth configuration instruction included in iGuidance Installation Guide).
- Exit the program and restart it (use File, Exit, or Menu, Exit to fully exit out of the program)
- Perform a Soft Reset and restart.
- Check to see if the GPS receiver is plugged in securely (if a mouse, CF, or SDIO receiver).
- Check to see if the batteries are low.
(i) Information - for Laptop/Car C users with USB GPS receiver, please make sure USB-to-Serial bridge driver is installed on your laptop before installing iGuidance.
(i) Information - when connecting GPS receiver for the first time, it may take up to eight (8) minutes before all channels starting to lock on signals. Launch iGuidance, and tap View, GPS Info to verify GPS activity.
I can't reinstall iGuidance back to my Pocket PC
- Close iGuidance program on your Laptop or Desktop PC which you used to install iGuidance (File, Exit, or Menu, Exit).
- Tap Start, Control Panel, Add or remove program, locate iGuidancefrom list of programs, Remove.
- Insert iGuidance program disk into your media drive and select Pocket PCwhen prompted which version(s) of iGuidance you wish to install.
- Follow the Install Wizard or refer to iGuidance Installation Guide to finish installing iGuidance back to your Pocket PC.
The car cursor is red continuously
- Check the GPS Info screen to confirm GPS satellite signal reception and ensure the receiver is working properly.
- Check to see if the GPS receiver has a clear view of the sky.
- If not, move to a location where the GPS receiver's view of the sky is not blocked.
- Exit the program and restart it.
- Perform a Soft Reset and restart.
- Check to see if the GPS receiver is plugged in securely.
A message on the program screen says "Outside of Map Area"
- If you are indoors or if the GPS receiver's view of the sky is obstructed, the program may think you are at an inaccurate location.
- Move to a location where the GPS receiver's view of the sky is not blocked
- You may have driven beyond the coverage of the map loaded in your Laptop, Car PC, UMPC, or Pocket PC.
