Installation iGuidance is designed for Laptops, UMPC's, and Car PC's running the Microsoft Windows Me, 2000, XP, or Vista operating system, and handheld devices running the Microsoft Pocket PC Windows Mobile 2003, 2003SE, Windows Mobile 5, and Windows Mobile 6 (on selected devices) operating system. Map file is pre-generated and available on your program disk. Simply copy this folder in its entirety to a SD/CF card to be used on your Pocket PC, or to C:\iNav iGuidance on your laptop, UMPC, or Car PC. For Pocket PC installations, the map data will be transferred to your handheld device via ActiveSync, Windows Mobile Device Center (when using Vista laptop/desktop), or card reader. Insert the iGuidance DVD Disk into your DVD-ROM drive respectively. If the setup program does not automatically start, click Start, Run, then type D:\setup.exe where D: is usually the drive letter of your DVD-ROM and press Enter. Follow the directions in the dialog boxes. During installation, you will be asked whether you want to install just the Pocket PC version, just the laptop version, just UMPC/Car PC version, or all. Be sure to check the appropriate boxes. Please refer to iGuidance Installation Guide included with your software package for detailed step-by-step installation instruction. Copying map file to your Laptop/UMPC/Car PC 1. Insert your program disk in your DVD-ROM drive. Click Browse, D:\ Drive (or whichever your DVD-ROM drive is mapped to), locate iNav iGuidance folder on the disk. 2. Select the folder and copy to your root directory under C:\iNav iGuidance. Copying map file to your Pocket PC (!) Advisory - Make sure your handheld device's ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center (for Vista) software is installed before you install the iGuidance. (!) Advisory - Make sure your handheld device is connected to your desktop (or laptop) and is turned on before installing iGuidance. (!) Advisory - Make sure you have downloaded the most current version of ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center (for Vista, via http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsVista/en/library/db983da1-8f87-4dd2-828a-4df238a3138b1033.mspx?mfr=true ). (!) Advisory - Please close all programs except Microsoft's ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center program. 1. Connect your handheld device to your PC. 2. Browse your media drive where your program DVD disk is inserted and locate file folder iNav iGuidance on the disk. 3. Select this folder and copy it in its entirety to your SD/CF card using either Activesync, Mobile Device Center (for Vista), or a card reader. 4. When done, insert the SD/CF card into your handheld device and launch iGuidance program.
